Meet the Team

I am Kanedra Thaxton, a student at Michigan State University and I major in human biology. My plan is to attend medical school after graduating and to become an operating surgeon. I have always been interested in the medical field because the idea of helping people was always the best thing you could do. Recently, during my senior year in high school, I was on Channel 7 news as one of their “Best and Brightest Students” and I have volunteered at different organizations such as, Gleaners Food Bank, and Operation Good Cheer. During my free time, I like to do research about becoming a surgeon and the different responsibilities that they have. My dream is to become a Trauma and Orthopedic Surgeon and I hope I can inspire someone along the way. From my portion of the blog, I hope I have helped you with expanding your knowledge about responsibilities pertaining to surgeons that you might not have been aware of.

I am Amanda Ziminski and I am an undergraduate student at Michigan State University majoring in Human Biology. I also recently completed my licensure to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). After graduating from MSU I hope to attend medical school. Currently I am interested in specializing in cardiology or emergency medicine. I have always been interested in science, specifically biology. As a high school student I had many opportunities to job shadow in my local clinic and emergency room which ignited my passion for medicine and drove me to always researching different aspects of it. In this blog I hope to inspire and educate you on the interesting and exciting components of medicine!

My name is Shivang Tripathi and I am currently an undergraduate student at Michigan State University studying neuroscience. After graduation, I plan on going to medical school and focusing on Pharmacology. As a student and a human being, I like to help others and spread positivity. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge and understanding of the medical field within my next few years as an undergraduate. With my contribution in this blog, I hope to educate others on current and future technological advancements within the medical field.

I am Lesly Morales and I am a full time undergraduate student at Michigan State University majoring in Neuroscience. I am CPR certified and throughout my High School years I had the opportunity to gain knowledge about general medical professions through job shadowing in the hospital and taking medical based curriculum. After graduating I plan on joining the United States Army as a commissioned officer and later attending medical school. In the future I plan on joining the medical workforce and becoming either a general practitioner or an emergency room doctor. With my input to this blog I hope to further your knowledge and expand the different points of view within the medical world.
